Is that normal? I mean, I didn't even join to journal so much as I joined so I could respond to friends' journal entries. Now, I feel like I'm neglecting my account if I don't come write something periodically.

Still working on the addition. We weren't able to side the remainder, yesterday, as we had an end of the year Fan Club meeting. The Fan Club is a group of parents that formed in order to raise money for and help expediate the needs of the school's drama department (http://www.cabcallowayschoolofthearts.com/). For all of you who are bookcrossers you may remember me mentioning, on the fora, how busy I was last summer taking over the role of Advertising Chairperson from the extremely capable (and much more organized) hands of the woman who'd executed that position for years. I'm back on the ad solicitation trail, this summer; I'm sure it will be a smoother, less complicated matter now that I've had one season under my belt and know what I'm doing.

I'm ordering the fixtures for the bathroom, today. We're getting Kohler's Devonshire line toilet and pedestal sink. When I figure out what faucet we're getting, I'll let you know. The rough plumbing hasn't been done but we're getting the fixtures, now, anyway, because I want to move them around in the space and decide where I want them. I think the pedestal sink will go against the chimney brick. Image hosted by Photobucket.com Don't you think that will make a lovely impact?

As much as I'd like to sit here and blather on, I have to run to the school and pick up programs to mail out to the advertisers (to say "See how wonderful your ad looked with our program THIS year - surely you'll want to advertise in our Showbill NEXT school year, too!) and take photo CDs I compiled of the last performance(s) to the drama and vocal teachers. SFB spent the night at a friend's and she needs to be picked up, too. Then, it's back here to work on the siding some more.

Have a great day, everyone!

Lol, when you first said "Fan Club" for some reason, all I could think was as in BC/LJ user Fanclub, and thne I was thinking oh that's neat that you got to go to Hawaii. Ahhh -- I'm such a doof sometimes.

Yeah, it'll look rocking. You want to get a huge overmantel mirror to go behind/above it. Something like this:

Well, as someone who has recently purchased a house that contains a weird looking toilet, I have to say that I like that one very much. :-)

And the sink is lovely too. Classic.

Oh, yeah, and I spend way more time and energy reading and commenting on my friends' journals than I do updating my own!

A weird looking toilet, is it? HOW weird?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that spends more time reading than updating. :)

It's sort of low and squatty (no pun intended). My mom says it's a European style toilet. It just looks weird to me. And it's dark green, which is sort of bachelorey.

I don't suppose it's really all that weird, but it's not something I ever thought I'd have in my house.

Here is a picture of something that looks sort of like it.

I like yours better. :-)

At least it's not this:

I've seen your type, before, and while it's not to my taste, I know lots of people who find that style attractive. As for colored fixtures, I'm generally against them only because trends change and not everyone buying a house is going to respond favorably to a dark green toilet! Not only that but, I prefer color accents (and having the ability to change them, at whim) not decorating around a fixture color - it's limiting.
As for that 'hatbox' potty: all I can say is. Ew! Not to my taste at all. The only thing worse, I've seen lately, is a new (I kid you not)composting toilet (http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images/view?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dcomposting%2Btoilet%26fr%3DFP-tab-img-t-255%26toggle%3D1%26ei%3DUTF-8&h=270&w=360&imgcurl=www.lutherlyn.com%2Fleep%2Ftdhtour%2Fcomposting%2520toilet.jpg&imgurl=www.lutherlyn.com%2Fleep%2Ftdhtour%2Fcomposting%2520toilet.jpg&size=20.0kB&name=composting%20toilet.jpg&rcurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lutherlyn.com%2Fleep%2Ftdhtour%2Ftoilet.htm&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lutherlyn.com%2Fleep%2Ftdhtour%2Ftoilet.htm&p=composting+toilet&type=jpeg&no=16&tt=3,319&ei=UTF-8).
