or does it just hate me in particular? It's been days since I've been able to access my mail, there, and that's the account I have alert me when someone responds to a comment I've made, here, in Live Journal.

Have you been getting a blank page? It's happened to me a couple of time in the last couple of days, but it's not lasted long. Gmail has also been a bit slow.

I'd suggest clearing your cookies and cache and logging in afresh. Of course, I say this as someone who knows very little about IT stuff (I leave that to the other half) so don't get your hopes up.

The past two days, I've had to enter the account by hand and not use my short cut set up to it. Annoying, but I was able to get there eventually.

I've been having trouble with trying to access the page through my blue envelope on my toolbar, but if I go to www.gmail.com, it's fine.

I was going to my g-mail account through a bookmark. I'd click it, the browser would pretend it was going to take me there and then it'd just stall halfway through the load leaving me staring at a plain, white screen.

I just manually typed the URL into my browser's address window and it whisked me in as if I were royalty. I have to wonder...what's the damned difference if I type the address in or 'my favorites' supplies the URL?! :oP

Thanks, everyone, for the help. :)

Me too. :)

In the office, I either type in "gmail.com" or use a bookmarked link- it's fine either way.
At home, my mail application downloads the messages (I love having free pop accesss!). No problems there either.

I haven't had any gmail problems (plenty o' others, though. . .)

BUT . . .when you don't want to change your alerts but are having problems, go to the "comments" link on LJ and see the most recent ones. It's AWESOME!

(I also have it on my sidebar links if you can't find it again -- the link automatically goes to your own -- you won't see mine or anything!)
