Struck me meaning 'made me think' not belted me across the chops.
1) I saw an older model mini-van, today, with very shiny chrome, spinning hubs inside the worn tires. Is it just me or is that particularly amusing?
2) I like parts of people. Sometimes I'm struck by the graceful slope of a woman's shoulders or the curve of a child's cheek. Sometimes it's the riot of corkscrew curls or the flash of someone's grin. Today, a man was walking alongside the road in shorts with white socks and black engineer boots. He had lovely calves. I found myself glancing in the rearview to get another look as I passed.

I like parts of people too. Everyone has some part interesting or attractive to look at. On some, it just takes longer to find it. :D
(I'm not being snarky - I'm one of the latter kinds myself.)
I like my collar bones

re: "parts" -- I never thought of it before, but I'm the same way. I love Unk's jawline (manly), and his skin. I have very bad skin, and he has great skin. Which totally sucks. Women are meant to have good skin. Just watch a commercial or two! Anyway, his is very very nice.
