I told my sister to check out my Live Journal while on the phone with her last night. So, I thought I ought to get my dragging ass in gear and actually write something in my journal instead of just doing memes.
I'm feeling cranky, at present. I was going to say I feel bitchy but I like to call a spade a spade and, dear friends, I'm just plain cranky. Need-a-nap cranky.
After a summer of sleeping in and making my own schedule, I had to be up at 6am. I got up, packed lunches and took Savagefuzzball to school then came home and exercised, ate and showered. From there, I was off and running for the rest of the day. Between the volunteer job at the school and making sure SFB had her school supplies (Since when did a person have to sell an organ to afford a geometery calculator?!) plus a million other little errands, I didn't get home until 4:30pm. Once home, I put out a couple of small fires (figuratively, thank goodness), addressed the ton of paperwork the teachers sent home for signatures then threw together a quick dinner.
Oh, I'm going to be starting a job next week. I'd been obsessing about finding something that would fit my needs - my needs being a job that would allow me to taxi SFB to school and back and to stay home if she was sick or on holiday - and, in the end, I needn't have worried at all. It's part time and has very flexible hours so it won't be a major transition but it will cut into my "do whatever I feel like" time. I meet with the owner of the company next week to find out just what I'll be doing. More when I know more.

I'm so glad about the job -- it sounds just right for you time-wise :)
(do you need a bit of cheering up? Go back to my LJ and look for your birthdate)
Hogs and Quiches,
Ant
P.S. I highly recommend the sisters-apart-blog thing. Zugenia and her sis (in New Zealand) are doing it, and I keep trying to talk my sis into it too. Hope your Aussie sis jumps in :)

Thank you for my Happy Birthday wishes. :) I haven't been on the LJ ball recently, I'm afraid.
I really wish my sister would "jump in" but I doubt it. I can hardly get her to reply to my e-mails let alone get involved in blogging. :oP
