Our vacation day trips start tomorrow.

As I've mentioned, before, MrBug has taken a vacation week starting Monday. Because we've been dumping money into the addition, we're not going away - just taking day trips.

I won't be around as much, especially in the beginning of the week. We're going to Great Adventure, tomorrow (Savagefuzzball and Mingo share their birthday month and the next two weeks will be protracted celebration of same), Tuesday we're going to the beach and Wednesday we'll go to Philadelphia to the Art Museum and, hopefully, the Old City Arts District and the Italian Market (all depending on how tired we are from Mon. and Tues.).

Thursday, Savagefuzzball celebrates Mingo's birthday with Mingo's family and Friday Savagefuzzball celebrates her birthday (early) at a local Moroccan restaurant with a few friends. Saturday and Sunday I plan to sleep a lot! ;)

I think day trips are often the best. There's something to be said for coming back to your own home and bed. And, of course, we often miss the good things that are in our own backyard.

Several years ago, I visited Philadelphia specifically to see an exhibit at the Museum of Art (This one), and discovered lots of other treasures there. I especially liked the Rosenbach Museum and Library, and the Fabric Workshop and Museum.
