It may be an oversight or it may very well be they just prefer not to make their thoughts open to me. No hard feelings whatsoever; with some we feel a connection, with others we don't.

Having said that, I'll be removing these people, now. This act is not a retaliation or a way of pouting, it's merely this: the inequality of the situation making me feel a bit uncomfortable or...vulnerable, shall we say.

If I remove you, you notice and wished to be refriended, feel free to PM me or just say so.

That's one heck of a snack for such a little hamster, tennis pro or not!

"That's one heck of a snack for such a little hamster, tennis pro or not!"

Oooh, I know--the poor little hamster! Looks like it needs a thought balloon that says "burp!" "Never eat anything that's bigger than your head!"

But at least it's a healthy snack...

That's exactly what I do. I'll add someone, wait a few days (weeks?) and if no response, out they go. It's not personal, I just want to keep a smallish, active list, rather than the 200+ people some have--I can't manage that many!

Small and simple is good for me. Actually, it's a good descriptive OF me!

I have done the same thing... And unfortunately none of them seemed to notice. So maybe it was for the best.

I suspect it will be the same experience for me.

BTW, I've meant to tell you...I love that icon; I grin every time I see it.

I've noticed that I wouldn't notice until someone comments in my LJ instead of just reading it.

I do lurk if I feel I have nothing to add and I don't mind those who lurk, in turn....as long as I know they have a friendly feeling toward me! ;)
Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 01:35 am (UTC)
you know I have those towards you, don't you? :-)
Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 02:14 am (UTC)
I figured you did since you added me to your friends list but, it's always nice to hear! :) I have friendly feelings toward you, too! :)
Wednesday, July 27th, 2005 08:50 pm (UTC)
I have friendly feelings for you. I often read but don't comment. :D

I've found sometimes people don't notice for months if you friend them - I guess they don't think to check their user info page. I friended a few people who didn't friend me back for ages, and then months later they noticed and friended me. Some never friended me back at all, even when I wrote comments on their journal, so in the end I did what you did and removed them from my list. I figured they didn't want to interact with me, so I felt uncomfortable reading their journals.

I always find it weird friending people and unfriending them. I was very shy about friending people at first, in case they didn't want to be friended. Now my friends list is quite big - although quite a few of the people on it never write in their journals any more, or only write once in a blue moon.
